So, after our first day of driving and seeing the country side, we took a swim in the hotel pool, a soak in the hot tub, and had a good night's rest!

Road Trip Day1 - Boulder, CO-Steamboat Springs, CO
Ok...so, for those of you who want to still keep in touch with what i'm up to, i'll prob. just keep this blog going....and since i'm sitting at home sick, with no work at the moment, i am going to start uploading pics from my road trip...yay!
Here are, Adam, Blaze, and myself in Boulder, CO ready to set off on our big adventure. For those of you who don't know, Adam and I are friends from elementary school...he's getting his PhD in math (my fav. subject) at CU Boulder.
Our initial goal was to drive through Rocky Mountain National Park (which i think you can see the foothills of in front of us)...but we got there and the road was closed due to snow....so we drove up and around the NP through Fort Collins, CO.
Here are just some of the cool rocks we got to drive through.
We took a little rest at the best store by a dam site....we bought some really good buffalo jerky there. As you can see, the weather was quite nice in this part of CO!
We made it to the Continental Divide!! And also to lots of icky snow....something to which I am not accustomed to!
Another one of our original goals was to make it Dinosaur, CO which is on the boarder of Utah...unfortunately, with our first detour, we did not make it that far on our first day. Instead, we decided to stay in Steamboat Springs, CO and to drive out to Dinosaur the next day.
We stayed at the lovely La Quinta Inn which provided us with a "gift" including essentials like tampons, advil, Emergen-C packets, and toothpaste....we were very excited about it.
