Thanksgiving Take 2

Thanksgiving #2 was a complete success...i think it might have even been better than the first! My turkey was perrrrrfect...like the people i invited over asked if i was a chef back in the US :) and I made everything from scratch again! (maybe i'll cook thanksgiving dinner next year :) But i am so full and ready for bed....so I can get up and talk to my fam on skype in the morning! yay!! :)

This is my lemon cake. It is the best cake in the world...seriously. I've made it a billion times since i've been here haha. I could eat a whole one by myself. If you want the recipe let me know...it's super easy....and it's like heaven to eat!

Here is the 3rd pumpkin pie I've ever made. I made 2 the other day when I made dinner for jon and jenny and brought one over for the milkers to try out...and the New Zealanders really like it....they only eat pumpkin like we eat squash...never in pie form. So they've never had it before! but jon and jock both couldn't get enough of it :)

Here is the before picture...going from left to right it's Jock, Craig, and Ryan. Amy (craig's fiance) had to work late and was coming later, and Jock's cousin Mia was supposed to come too, but she wasn't feeling well. So, it was just me and the guys. Boy they can eat a lot!

And here is the after picture....we're all a little zoned out from eating too much (and maybe the wine and beer had something to do with it too hehe). That's Amy at the back! (Matt, don't make fun of my preggo shirt!! i needed to wear something expandable so i could eat more haha). I sent the boys home with 90% of the leftovers. I am so left-overed out from last thanksgiving haha. I saved myself some turkey, stuffing, and gravy tho...yyuummmmm.

And...here is the aftermath...I'll deal with that in the morning. Honestly, I'm too tired to care about it hehe. Jock and them offered to help with the dishes, but I was just so tired I was like..umm..here take some left overs and i'll just deal with it tomorrow. Oh yea...my gravy came out good too...i've never made that before. So, all in all, it was an excellent thanksgiving dinner. I wish everyone from back home could have been there too to experience it!
Hope you have a good thanksgiving too!! :) Don't eat too much :)
This year, I am thankful for Thanksgiving :)

Hello Chef Pam,

Looks like you all enjoyed Thanksgiving; it must be sort of neat having it with all young people for a change.

Hey nice shirt!! looks flabulous
Hehehe…

I understand. I always eat till my guts hurt on Thanksgiving.

Congratulations on the success of your celebration. It’ll be a sad day for the milkers when you leave.
